Team ECCO is home to the Aquarium & Shark Lab, the first inland aquarium in NC. We house ocean awareness and marine science programs designed to lead students and visitors into the water. Our student docents and interns take an active part in animal husbandry, nutrition, presentations, and research. Exhibits include over 300 animals from 4 continents showcased in both saltwater and freshwater exhibits. Visit with us and join in a Citizen Science encounter, discover some bones, or watch our small shark and stingray feeding demonstration. Public visiting hours are Thursday - Friday 1-4 pm.
