Being Part of the NC Science Trail can look differently for everyone.

1. Are you a parent who wants to give your child a great start in STEM?

    • If so, you’re probably looking for:
      • Extracurricular activities, like our Girls Who Code clubs.  Email us to find a club near you or to help us set up a new club in your area.
      • Partner events with hands-on activities for all ages. Check our event calendar here.

2. Are you a teacher who wants to provide exceptional hands-on opportunities for the students in your classroom.

      • Of course you’re looking for great STEM to connect with your class! See our listing of 108 Science Education partners who can help with field trips or help set up classroom visits. Some even provide resources for you to use in your lesson plans.
      • Would you like to be part of our quarterly Educator Newsletter? We’ll send the information you’re looking for four times a year directly to your inbox. Sign up here.

3. Are you an adult who loves STEM and/or the outdoors and you see an opportunity to be involved in something rewarding?

    • If so, you may enjoy volunteering to help guide hands-on science activities at community events. Email us to find out what events are in need of volunteers in your area.
    • You may also want to experience some of North Carolina’s amazing science and nature opportunities for yourself! Who could blame you? See our calendar of events for adult-only events and opportunities, which could include everything from Science Adult nights at museums to hiking one of NC’s spectacular nature trails.

These are all great reasons to be involved with the NC Science Trail. Reach out to us and let us help you find the best way to get involved.
