Located in Stanly County only a few miles from Badin and Albemarle, Morrow Mountain State Park is over 6,000-acre with something for everyone. The park has over 50 miles of bridle and hiking trails, seasonal kayak and canoe rentals and waterfront access for those who bring their own boats. There are Picnic shelters and over 100 campsites and cabins. During the summer season the historic Civilian Conservation Corp swimming pool is open to all. The historic Dr. Kron homesite is also located in Morrow Mountain State Park. The museum at the park showcases its long history, and no trip to the mountain would be complete without visiting the Scenic Vista at the top of Morrow Mountain.
