Lake Norman State Park encompasses just under 2,000 acres of wildlife preserve for the public to explore through day trips or overnight camping experiences. The park has over 35 miles of hiking and biking trails, a 33-acre park lake, more than 40 family camping facilities, 6 camper cabins, group camp sites, a community building, and swim beach for cooling off in the summer.
