Hanging Rock State Park is part of the Sauratown Mountains located in Stokes County. Park visitors are able to access hiking, equestrian, and mountain bike trails within the over 9,000-acre park. Explore the Dan River by paddling along the Dan River State Trail. A museum, gift shop and park offices can be found at the Visitor Center. Enjoy the lake during the summer months by renting boats or swimming at the beach. Cabins and camping are available all year round.
