The Dismal Swamp State Park features well over 20 miles of hiking and biking trails. Everyone is encouraged to walk around our half-mile Boardwalk trail for a chance to see what today's swamp looks like, as well as some interesting wildlife, without having to go far. Be sure to explore our visitor center, with its exhibit hall that tells the story of the Swamp throughout the years and our extensive taxidermy collection. Some exhibits are interactive and you can also view a 6-minute video with lots of footage of the park.
