The Schiele Museum is a natural history museum that features displays on North American Wildlife, North Carolina's distinct regions, dinosaur and prehistoric exhibits, and Native American cultures. The Schiele has 70,000 ft2 of indoor space that includes a planetarium. On the 20 acre campus the Schiele offers an 18th century farm and cabin juxtaposed to contemporary farming techniques. The campus has a one-mile nature trail features a Grist Mill, a stream, a pond, a stone age site, and the Catawba Indian Village.
