Located adjacent to CLT Airport, the Sullenberger Aviation Museum (SAM) will be a technology-focused facility that will play an integral role in creating equitable and diverse pathways to STEM-related careers and industries. The Museum will offer highly engaging visitor experiences on a campus setting that includes: a welcome center, a main gallery, the renovated historic hangar, and an outdoor plaza overlooking the active airport.

With the Museum, SAM will strengthen its commitment to connecting historically marginalized communities with STEM programming and industries, while also achieving national and international stature as a premier aviation facility located here in North Carolina, the First In Flight state. With the Museum, SAM will strengthen its commitment to connecting historically marginalized communities with STEM programming and industries, while also achieving national and international stature as a premier aviation facility located here in North Carolina, the First In Flight state.
