The North Carolina Children’s Museum (formerly Kidzu Children’s Museum) inspires curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning through hands-on exploration in science, art, and play. With two vibrant locations—the Nest, a welcoming space for early learners in Chapel Hill, and The Makery at Boxyard RTP, a dynamic STEAM hub for tweens, teens, and playful adults—the museum engages visitors of all ages in interactive experiences that blend innovation with imagination. As part of its statewide vision, the N.C. Children’s Museum is developing a 70,000-square-foot campus south of Chapel Hill, featuring a 200-seat outdoor pavilion and 45 acres of space designed to foster collaboration among families, educators, and researchers. Through these growing efforts, the museum is expanding its reach across North Carolina, creating inspiring spaces where children and communities can discover the power of play and the joy of learning together.
