Cape Fear Museum of History and Science is Moving!
The new Cape Fear Museum of History and Science is located at 230 Grace Street in Downtown Wilmington. The new facility will open in late summer 2026! New exhibitions will include:
Cape Fear Stories – history, science, and cultures of the region Port City Play – imaginative play space for our youngest visitors Science Matters – hands-on STEM gallery Curious Nature – outdoor nature space that highlights the beauty of the region Planetarium – a 60-seat immersive theater Traveling Exhibition Gallery – dedicated space to host engaging rotating exhibits
