The Queen Anne’s Revenge Conservation Lab is an amazing experience for those interested in history, archaeology, and the science of conservation. Lab staff carefully excavate the Queen Anne’s Revenge/La Concorde shipwreck and then conserve recovered artifacts through numerous scientific processes. The lab offers free and educational guided tours for all ages. Visitors can expect to see cannons, an anchor, and more from this historic shipwreck that once belonged to the infamous pirate Blackbeard. Come see how science and history meet to conserve one of the most significant shipwrecks in the world. Tours are available on the first Tuesday of each month, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Registration is required. Group tours are available by appointment only. For more information or to register for a tour, visit the QAR website at www.qaronline.org.
