Greetings Fellow Explorers! Looking for some summer science fun? Windsor, NC has just the daytrip for you. Roanoke/Cashie River Center, Bertie Chamber of Commerce, and Bertie County Arts Council are happy to be hosting Windsor Riverfest— a lovely celebration of Northeastern North Carolina’s natural beauty, culture, and people.
Windsor Riverfest will be held at the Roanoke/Cashie River Center from 12 pm to 8 pm on June 17th, 2023. People of all ages are encouraged to attend! There will be a host of awesome activities and attractions to flaunt all that our corner of North Carolina has to offer, including food trucks, art vendors, and live music. Fans of the outdoors will love the free boat rides across Windsor’s natural waterways and the giant canoes that hold 14 people each! Additionally, those interested in environmental education and conservation will love the local museums and nonprofits that will offer interactive exhibits at the festival. Workshops will be held from 12pm to 4 pm for those of all skill levels on fascinating science topics such as beekeeping, scientific illustration and so much more!
Finally, a farmer’s market will offer lots of local goodies, including fresh produce and handmade crafts. Bring your curiosity and an empty belly. We can’t wait to see you at Windsor Riverfest!
