Imperial Centre for the Arts and Sciences: Solar Viewing

Safely filtered solar telescope viewing is provided free of charge to visitors to the Imperial Centre for the Arts & Sciences, in Rocky Mount, during our annual Jingle Mingle Artisan Market event. Solar Cycle 25 continues to demonstrate increasing activity of sunspots and giant prominences along the Sun’s limb. Join us in the Sun but remember, also, to dress warmly for cooler Fall temperatures. Viewing takes place weather permitting. Viewing is provided by members of the Tar River Astronomy Club and takes place weather permitting.
