Hike with a Park Ranger on the Maple Run Trail for a chance to earn a Junior Ranger patch! All materials will be provided. Meet at the Park Office to begin. Please wear appropriate shoes for the hike and dress appropriately for the weather. The hike will be about 0.5 miles long on easy terrain. The Junior Ranger book is geared towards children, but ages 5 and up are welcome to participate in this program! Inclement weather will cancel this program; please keep a check on the park’s website for any new program updates (ncparks.gov/state-parks/elk-knob-state-park).
